Major responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain websites and software applications
• Use scripting and authoring languages, management tools, content creation tools and digital media
• Confer with teams to resolve conflicts, prioritise needs and develop content criteria
• Direct and perform website updates
• Develop and validate test routines so test cases mimic external interfaces and cover all browsers and devices
• Edit, write and design website content, and direct the team members producing it
• Keep current with web applications and programming practice through study, conferences and groups
• Back up site files to local directories for recovery
• Identify problems from customer feedback and testing, and correct or refer them
• Evaluate code for industry standards, validity, structure and cross-platform compatibility

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in web development or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Solid knowledge and experience in programming applications
• Proficient in JavaScript, HTML and CSS
• Proficient in MySQL
• Dedicated team player who can thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Able to develop ideas and processes and express them clearly
• High degree of independent judgment; able to solve complex problems
